sculpture

Whilst on the foundation year, I also made an ill-conceived decision to branch out from painting into the terrifying realm of sculpture. I have always had a great passion for feminist art, and had been studying the work of Cecily Brown and Kiki Smith in particular. With a huge amount of help from my tutors and friends who knew a lot more about sculpture than I could ever hope to, I eventually produced this strange scary woman from wood, wire newspaper, plaster and black paint :)

Stop-motion animation made from cut outs and a little bit of painting :) i made this on my foundation course, and its all about struggling to come up with ideas :)
