Final major project drawings

As well as my giant paintings, I also made a series of 'scream' drawings in charcoal. I thought that the image of a face screaming was really representative of a release of something abstract from the body, as well as being a strong signifier of pain and torment.
I created about 7 large charcoal drawings on cartridge paper which measured 1.5m x 1m

Final Major Project

For my final major project of my foundation year, I chose to explore the concept of a desire to break out of the body that contains us, transcending the physical, becoming something purer, and more abstract. Within this project I was dealing with a desire to escape oneself.
I created 3 paintings, about 7ft tall, which all used my own image. I came about using the images upside down after a friend saw one of my photos the wrong way up and suggested i tried drawing it this way. I found it worked really well with my concept, and for once im actually happy with some work ive done :P
I also created a video and a series of drawings for this project, some of which ill also upload :)
